Mr. Foster, who rose from hutch- j j er's boy to Member of Parliament I and Mayor oi Toronto, amassed a j fortune of 1,158,000 dollars when he i died on December 10, 1945; The i main bequest of his v/ill, 600,000 dol- | lars, was for cancer research.
