♦ Personal Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ryder, of Wellington, are at present spending a holiday in Otaki. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Edwards and family left for the South Island on Monday on holiday. 1 ; The wedding took place' recently at St. Majy of the Angels' Church, Boulcott Street, Wellington, of Terence, eldest son of Mrs. G. O'Brien, Otahuhu, Auckland, and Peggy, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Palmer, of Otaki. The officiating priest was Rev. Father Dignan. c . Early Otaki In the article recently written by Mr. Ryder the names of two wellknown and highly respected residents were omitted, Sister Margaret, well-known for her many Kindly acts, and Mr. W. Dodds, the oldest European settler in the Otaki district, and one who can relate many interesting incidents of bygone day^
