College Annual Sports CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED Five school records were broken at. the Horowhenua Collegers annual athletic sports, held on the Levin: , Domain yesterday under most favourable conditions, with the , weather fine and' a complete ah- r sence of wind. Marjorie Webster clipped 4-5 secs. off the 220 senior girls' record, lowering the time to 29 secs. In the junior section R. Edwin threw the cricket ball 87' yards 1 i feet, lowering the previous 'record by 9 yards 0 % feet. ; As is usuai at such fixtures, en'thusiasm ran, high and in most of ;the events, nearly all of which necesitated a number of heats, keen rivalry made the finishes close and exciting, and the whole programme was characterised by the spint of good sportsmanship which has always been a feature of school sport. The senior girl champion y/as M. Webster with 13 points, while P. Prendeville five points was rmimerup. The junior title went to ,J.
Buchanan, who notched mne cnampionship points, and the runner-up was D. Williams. with eight. C. Walker proved to be the senior boy champion with twelve points, and the junior title was annexed by A.
