Official sources statsd that the most rlrastic censorship since che early clays gf the Gommimist .revolution was instituted in Russia last week. Uorrespondents now have to file their stories rvith Glavlit, or the General • Censorship Oflice, instead' of the speciai censorship branch of the Soviet Eoreign Othce. Correspondents are imahle to dis cover whether their messages have been desnatehed or how they have been treated. One reporter telegraphed to tns oflice asking how much of one of nis stories had heen received, but some where between the Soviet telegraph oflice and the Umted .j,ates the tele gram disappeared . Several correspondents met in Moscow to discttss the new policy. Although they did not reach a decision, they may consider that nothing further can he gained by staying in Moscow, and such a stand may he supported by the Americau Govarnnient..
