Continental Tour Opens 25,000 SEE THE GAME

ReceiVed Monday, 11.15 a.m. PARIS,. March 10. The Kiwis, playing the first match of their Continental tour, dofeated a French side by 14 points to 9. The New Zealanders scored three tries, one of which they converted, and a penalty goal to three tries. The Kiwis led 8 — 3 at half-time. Sherratt scored two. tries and Blake one, while Scott converted one try and kicked a penalty goal. Reuter's correspondent says that in a fast and liveiy gaine the Kiwis; were rather lucky to defeat France. The Frenchmen played most of the' second half. without one of their' forwards, but forged ahead with two bril'liano tries. The Kiwis look-. ed like being beaten, but recapturedi the lead when a bad mistake by the French full-back let Blake in for his try. Scott clinched . the game just before the end with a penalty goal.
