"THE TRUTH" The false "churches" doctrine of the Immortaiiry of the Soul (i.e., tnat the "man himself" at death stiil lives, but in another state), was adopred from the pagans, and is just another form of that "old serpent" lie in the garden of Eden; "Ye shall not surely die." — Gen. 3 :4. Obviously the churches could not teach the inherent immortality of man without having a pla'ce for him to go to at death, so they adopted (again from the heathen) the theory that • the • righteous at death go to heaven, and the wicked to eternal torment. All this is contradicted by the Bibie which says that the resurrection and judgment to determine fitness for eternal life or eternal death, is to take place not at death, but at the Second Coming of Christ.
