AN artist's conceptions of the Tucker Torpedo, a new car about to invade the low-price field. Te be mass-produced to sell at around the 1000 dollar mark, the car has a centre control, designed to aid accuracy in steering, curved safety glass in the windshield to provide full vision, a 150 h.p. engine, and is designed to cruise at 100 m.p.h., with petrol consumption estimated from 35 to 60 miles to the gallon, depending on speed and octane rating.
