HoWeil. .uevelling New Motor Camp "About .91 acres oi our motoi camp site at' Paraparaumu has been leveiled by a bulidozer," said Mr. L. A. Batt, cnairman oi tne'commiGte^ of the- Automobile Assoeiation in Wellington on Tuesday. "Tne other half-acre is rather more low-lying. and will be dealt with, probaoiy, as filling becomes available. The whom of this area has been covered witn four inches of soil, so that it woulu be possible to grow almost anyiniim there. "Later on this month, I will be going to New Plymouth in c-onnec tion with the purchase of young 'trees for the shelter belts, which, m the first place, will be protected by ti-tree barriers. In aduition to thi arfea of 10 acres the assoeiation has secured another acre and a naif oix the other side of, Manley Street," continued Mr. Batt. "This is to be set aside as a play area for the younger people, so that the camp itself will not always be overrun with youngsters. They will be given a well-appointed playground in a handy position." Mr. Batt said that the new motor camp would' piobably be ready for tent camps early next summer, but at the present time, building on any scale was being made difficuLt*
