The mystery man of the title is Bud Trilling, notorious. leader of a gang of bank thieves and cattle rustlers, whose fame is that he has never been seen by his victims. However, Trilling has never before met up with Hopalong Cassidy, and when he does he realises he has at last met a man whose wits, daring and confidence are

more than a match for his own. Hopalong and his pals, California (Andy Clyde) and Jimmy (Jimmy Rogers) are in the town of Holbrook when Trilling's gang robs the bank, but so cleverly does Trilling disguise his connection with the gang, "Hoppy" does not suspect him. Over-confident, Trilling decides tc ■have his gang rustle the Bar 2C herd of cattle that Hoppy is planning to seli in Texas, and this daring decision finally leads to his arrest and the end of his crimes. The vivid film story of the famous "Klondike Kate," the most fabulous and romantic figure of the Yukon gold rush era, the secona attraction, is opening at the Regent Theatre to-morrow for two days. It is a Coiumbia picture, with lovely Ann. Savage in the leading and title role, and the supporting east includes Tom Neal, Glenda Farreli, Constance Worth and Lester Allen.
