WELLINGTON, Alarch 4. AYith tlie levels at both Lake Taupo and Lake Waikaremoana exceptionally low, with a continuing shortage of coal and a colil snap over most of the Nortli Island, power rationing had a bad start this morning, but the fact that tliere was sucli a combination of troubles made it even more necessary that extremo care sliould be taken by every oue in the consumption of power. The Controller of Electricity (Alr. F. T. Ar. Kissel), after stressing tlie low levels of Lakes Taupo anil Waikaremoana, said the eomiitions at Taupo today were rough and no procise rneasurements of Ihe level rouhl be taken.
