In the last game of their tour of Great Britain, N.Z.E.P. beat Aberavon by 17 points to f after a very hard and fast match, with some spectacular incidents and a considerabla amount of rough piay among the forwards. Tne game was plaj^ed under excellent conditions, with the ground in goof order, before a capacity gate of 18,000. Both sides showed enter.pr.se in the eacly stages of the game. Ingpen and Rhind broke through from a line-out. Then Arnoid broke ciear from another line-out and passed to Rhind to Bond, who was thrown into touch. The scoring opened when a penalty enabled Scott to kick a tine goal from 40 yards out after 15 minutes' play. A great Aberavon passing rush, in which the ball went along the lxne of the backs to John, who centred, was stopped when Meates gathered the ball in and cleared. Another Aberavon rusb went close to the Kiwi line, Smith clearing from behind liis own goalline. Drew went off with a broken collar bone, James going out of the scrum to wing. The Kiwis" initiated numerous pass ing attacks, but fttmbling and also a-c-curate tackling by tbe home side prevented their scoring.
