Final adjustments are made by Murray McLaren to the Chevrolet V8-powered sprintcar which Noel Goodwin, of Auckland, will drive in the New Zealand championship at the Handy Hire Speedway, Ruapuna Park, this evening. Mr McLaren, formerly of Ashburton, built the racer, and acts as mechanic. The engine runs on methanol, is fuel-injected, and develops 650 b.h.p. Goodwin won the national championship in the car last season.
