Rowers miss world event
PA Wellington New Zealand will not compete at the world rowing championships at Nottingham from August 17 to 24 for financial reasons. The New Zealand Rowing Association’s tours account is $lOO,OOO in - deficit and it cannot afford a further $40,000 to send a team to Nottingham after the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games. “The only way we could go
