Seminars on discipline
Primary school principals in Canterbury and Westland will later this year be able to attend seminars on school discipline. The district senior inspector, Mr Les Cramond, told the Canterbury Education Board yesterday that the seminars would be held to show what alternatives to corporal
- punishment were avail--1 able. s 1 The seminars will cover . topics such as improving classroom programmes . and focusing on the positive side of behaviour. ’ They will be held in f Christchurch, Ashburton, 1 Kaikoura, Greymouth, t Rangiora, Lincoln, and 1 possibly Hokitika.
