Approval for DIC to buy

Wellington reporter The Examiner of Commercial Practices has given approval for DIC Stores, Ltd, to acquire 100 per cent of Apparel Holdings, Ltd. The approval follows a meeting of shareholders in mid-January at which DIC increased its capital to SSOM. The offer becomes un-, conditional with 75 fper’ cent acceptances and the merged company will then be listed on the Stock Exchange as Apparel Holdings, Ltd. Apparel shareholders have until February 28 to accept the DIC offer of six DIC shares for every five Apparel shares. The merged company will be one of the largest retail organisations in New Zealand, with assets of S7OM and turnover of SI3OM.
