Police house damaged
PA Gisborne An unoccupied police house was the overnight target of another suspicious fire in the arsonhit community of Ruatoria.
The police said a resident noticed flames shooting from the house about 10.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The 20-year-old, threebedroom house was extensively damaged in the
fire. The police say they are treating the fire as suspicious. It is being investigated by a police team from Gisborne. Ruatoria has been the target of a series of suspicious fires in the last few months. In one fire near the end of last year, the courthouse was destroyed.
