PUBLIC NOTICE SECTION 117 A AND 107 THE SALE OF LIQUOR ACT 1962 and REGULATIONS 13 (3) AND 20 SALE OF LIQUOR REGULATIONS 1963 THE Committee of the Akaroa Cruising Club Incorporated, Akaroa, has made application to the Licensing Control Commission for a Club Licence in respect of the premises of the Club situated at Beach Road, Akaroa. THE purposes for which people resort to the premises are: (a) participating in yacht racing and cruising being a sporting or recreational activity in which Club members participate; and (b) the private social intercourse, convenience and comfort of persons having a common sporting and recreational Interest, namely yacht cruising and racing. THE licensing hours sought by the applicant are: (a) from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on any day upon which a race is held by or finishes at the Club; (b) from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and upon any day (except Sunday) between the 26th of December and the 25th of January following; (c) on any day upon which a general or Committee meeting of the Club is held on the Club premises from the closure of that meeting to one hour thereafter; and (d) on any day (including Sundays) upon which a Club working bee is held for the purpose of repairing, altering or maintaining the Club premises or equipment from the scheduled commencement of that working bee until 8 p.m. ANY person who is entitled to object and who wishes to object to the grant of this application may, not later than 14 days from the date of the first publication of this notice, file a notice in writing of his objection and of the grounds thereof with the secretary of the Licensing Control Commission at Wellington.
