American to box at Sydney
NZPA-AAP Sydney Freddie “Pebble” Jackson, one of the roughest and most controversial boxers In the world, has agreed to fight at Sydney next month — and he has his eyes on Jeff Fenech’s International Boxing Federation world bantamweight crown. Jackson, an American who has been disqualified from fights for butting and had one of his most important victories nullified after a blood test found traces of marijuana in his system, will fight at Sydney on March 10. Ranked sixth in the world by the 1.8. F. and third by the W.8.C., he will tackle a fellow American, Kelvin Seabrooks, over 10 rounds. The winner hopes to get a crack at the unbeaten Fenech’s crown.
