Boost for stallion

PA Wellington The family of the Paramount Stud sire, Light Spirits, was boosted in January when the stallion’s half-sister recorded back to back wins in the United States. Steel Maiden, a three-year-old filly by Damascus, won the Resolution Stakes over 1200 m at Laurel on New Year’s Day and followed up with a win in the Dancelot Stakes on the same track.

A grey, like her halfbrother, Steel Maiden won twice as a two year old and now has four wins and a second from six starts Blue Ensign, (by Hoist the Flag) an older half brother to Light Spirits and Steel Maiden, has had recent success as a sire. He has seven winners including one stakes winner from his first crop of 11 which are now two year olds. T
