Twilight softball
Twilight softball will resume temporarily next week to catch up lost games in the “top four” premier men’s competition. Since the post-Christ-mas competition began on January 18 only one premier men’s match has been played. One Saturday’s play was lost because of rain, another because of the Countdown tournament, and last week-end the Canterbury team had an assignment against Western Australia at Ashburton.
In 6.30 p.m. games next week, United will play Suburbs at Western Park on Tuesday, Burnside will meet Merivale-Papanui at Papanui Domain on Wednesday and United will clash with Merivale at Western Park on Thursday. The other game outstanding, between Burnside and Suburbs, will be played on Sunday, February 23, as a 1.15 p.m. curtain-raiser to the premier women’s match between Albion and Bumside,
