Western Samoan rugby tour
Sir, —Congratulations to Western Samoa on having the good sense and courage to send a rugby football team to South Africa, thereby.,, rejecting the international communist conspiracy to strip all citizens of their freedom. This visit will be reminiscent of the highly successful multi-racial All Blacks’ visit to South Africa in 1970. It was opposed by an ill-informed vociferous minority, but it did more to encouraged the multi-racial concept in South African sport than any other single sporting event. — Yours, etc., BERT WALKER. February 7, 1986.
