Tunnel approved
NZPA-Reuter London The House of Commons has approved a British Government document calling for work to begin on the proposed Channel tunnel between Britain and France.
The British Prime Minister, Mrs Thatcher, and the French President, Mr Mitterrand, are to meet on Wednesday at Canterbury Cathedral to sign a treaty to build the twin, rail-only tunnel.
