FOREST SERVICE SAMBAR DEER MANAGEMENT PLAN DRAFT PUBLIC comment Is being sought on a draft plan for the management of the sambar deer herd occupying a range through coastal and lowlands areas of Wanganui, Rangltlkel, Manawatu and Horowhenua. Because the draft plan proposes species management rather than land area management, future management of sambar deer may affect all landowners on whose land sambar deer are present from time to time.
