Gen Prop loan

PA Wellington General Properties Corporation, Ltd, 50 per centowned subsidiary, West Plaza Hotels, Ltd, has negotiated a loan of 525.6 M.

General Properties directors said that the deal with the Development Finance Corporation comes at a time when the Government is predicting acute shortages of firstclass hotel accommodation.

West Plaza expects its international standard Wellington hotel, with 210 rooms and 11 storeys, to be completed late next year.

General Properties also has a 50 per cent interest in the existing West Plaza Hotel in Wakefield St, Wellington.
