Boy killed by cricket ball

PA Wellington A Wainuiomata boy was killed when he was hit on the head by a cricket ball on Saturday. He was Richard Julian West, aged seven. He was playing in a park with two friends at 2.15 p.m. when the accident occurred. His friends summoned help from a passing motorist . The police and an ambulance were called but the boy died of the injury.
