Late le Bon

PA Auckland As hopes began to fade that the rock star, Simon le Bon, would join the crew of Drum England at Orakei marae in Auckland on Saturday, he appeared 90 minutes late. The crew had been invited to the marae for a traditional Maori welcome and concert, complete with a three-warrior challenge, usually reserved for V.I.P.S.

As the ceremony drew to a close, Le Bon, aged 27, arrived after flying from the Bay of Islands where he has been on holiday with his wife, Yasmin Parvenah, aged 21.
