Sir Harmony impressive
Sir Harmony looked impressive when winning his maiden heat at the Motukarara workouts yesterday. The Sir Dalrae four-year-old gave his rivals little chance with Sagaman offering resistance as they sped over the last 800 m in less than 60s. Uncle Jasper led throughout in the main heat to record 3min 27.45, keeping Freightman at bay over the last 800 m in 595.
Paul Black produced Petite Glamour to win the two-year-old
posing 2min 10.4 s for the mile. In the heat for colts and geldings the Graham Court-trained Brilliant Lord paced rather roughly to record 2min 11.55. Pitcher was successful in the trotters’ event, recording 3min 43.55, sprinting the final 400 m in 29.65.
The maiden pacer, Silver Stream (3min 3L3s), and the unqualified pacer, Avalon To Win (3min 33.35), were other heat winners to perform well.
