Stevenson suspended
PA Invercargill The Ma-’ taura horseman, Les Steven-, son, the driver of Bay Horizon, in the Te Anau Trot at’ the Northern Southland meet-' ing on Saturday, was found guilty of careless driving in that he allowed his horse to climb into the sulky of Cot< tontail. In so doing, Bay Horizon? got his leg tangled between the stay and wheel, causing severe interference to Cottontail and Ar Jay and checking? Lord Jay. The incident took place about 1200 m from home. -'? The crash team was unable to clear horses off the track when the field contested the final stages of the race. t Stevenson had his horseman’s licence suspended up to and including March 8. ;
