P. Dines off list
Perry Dines Corp, Ltd, will be removed from the New Zealand Stock Exchange list on February 28, the exchange’s executive director, Mr Roger Gill announced. Quotation of the company’s shares would be suspended at the close of business on February 14, he said in a statement These steps follow advice from Perry Dines’ receivers that its share register would not be funded after February 28. Brierley Investments, Ltd, took its shareholding in Dominion Breweries, Ltd, to 48.7 per cent of the issued capital, BlL’s chief executive, Mr Paul Collins announced. He told the Stock Exchange that BIL had bought privately and on market a further 1,429,000 ordinary shares, or, 2 per cent, of DB’s issued
capital. The shares were bought at BlL’s 350 c a share offer price, the total consideration being $5,001,500. “We are continuing to buy shares in the market to complete the order of 6 million shares,” he said. The $2l million bid would give BIL just over 50 per cent of the brewer. Share offer Employees of Wellcome New Zealand, Ltd, and Coopers Animal Health N.Z. Ltd, are being offered shares in Wellcome, PLC, as part of a public float in the United Kingdom. The Wellcome Trust is offering 20 per cent of its shareholding in Wellcome to the public and a number of shares have been reserved for employees in various countries. The Wellcome Group has 450 employees in New Zealand in its subsidiaries.
