Cambridge to row in China
NZPA-AP Peking Plans have been announced for the Cambridge University boat crew to race in four famous Chinese settings ahead of the Queen’s first visit to China in October. The Cambridge crew would race against Chinese students in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing and Peking, said the organiser, Patrick Lui, of Hong Kong, after talks with Chinese officials. Plans call for the Cambridge eight to row on Hangzhou’s scenic West Lake, along the Bund in Shanghai, the Grand Canal in Nanjing, and at the Summer Palace Lake in Peking.
