The ' Oxford-trained, Aera’s Havoc, could well upset some of the more favoured candidates in the Rover New Zealand Cup (805 m second leg of the T.A.B. double and second T.A.B. trifecta event, at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park today. Not since she won the Stan Wheatley Garage Stakes in track record time in September has the Top Club — Lisa Havoc bitch shown her best form.
However, if she can clear the boxes quickly and take up a handy position she could take some heading. The ownertrainer, Jock Walsh, is no stranger to preparing a runner for a big race and is sure to have Aera’s Havoc ready.
The Carterton-trained Laura Knight is sure to come in for a lot of support after her outstanding seven-length victory in her heat on January 9.
