ICI to buy
A chemicals, fertiliser and plastics group, ICI Australia, Ltd, is to acquire total ownership of its. paint subsidiary, Dulux Australia, Ltd, subject to Foreign Investment Review Board approval. The ICI chairman, Mr Milton Bridgland, told shareholders at the company’s annual meeting that ICI had agreed to buy the 29.6 per cent of Dulux Australia held by the United Kingdom-based Cookson Group, PLC. However, he did not disclose financial details of the acquisition.
