Award to Chch academic
PA Wellington A University of Canterbury psychologist, Dr Jan Watt, has been awarded this year’s $25,000 Hodge Fellowship in the social sciences.
• Dr Watt, a research fellow in the department of psychology, will work on a project investigating intellectual and social development in at-risk infants, using subjects recruited from a Christchurch hospital. The Hodge Fellowship is awarded and administered by the Social Sciences Research Fund Committee, which was established in 1984 to recognise the work of the committee’s first chairman, Dr J. V. Hodge.
