Notices CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL STOPPING OF PORTION OF HAZELDEAN ROAD (LINCOLN ROAD TO GROVE ROAD) PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to Sections 319(h) and 342(l)(a) of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council has resolved to stop that portion of Hazeldean Road described in the Schedule hereto. SCHEDULE Portion of Hazeldean Road being all that parcel of land situated In the City of Christchurch and described as follows:Area: 3773 m2 Shown As: A Survey Office Plan: 16470 Adjoining Land: Lot 1 DP 44043, Lot 1 DP 38719 and Part RS 72. PURPOSE The purpose of the road stopping is to allow the adjoining owners to purchase the local road and to lease nearby land from the Railway corporation so that they can consolidate their despatch and receiving of goods operations. This piece of road Is not required as part of the road-, ing network. The above mentioned plan may be Inspected during normal office hours at the Traffic Division of the City Works and Planning Department, Christchurch City Council, Civic Offices, 163 Tuarn Street. Submissions in favour or objections against this proposal must be lodged In writing, at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, or posted to P.O. SCHEDULE PORTION of Hastings Street being all that parcel of land situated In the City of Christchurch and described as foUows:Area: 3 sq m Shown As: A Survey Office Plan: 16510 Adjoining Land: Lot 1 DP 43223 and Part RS 235 PURPOSE J ' - The purpose of the road stopping is to restrict through traffic from using Hastings Street, which Is a local road designed to give access only to adjoining properties. Burlington Street and Brougham Street have been ’designated In the Council’s . District Scheme' as arterial roads 'for the use of through traffic. The strip of road to be stopped Is 030 m wide and 16.85 m long and will be retained In Council ownership. To Improve traffic entry from Burlington Street onto Brougham Street, traffic signals will be In operation before the road stopping Is effective.
