QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Four year University degree in Agricultural Science or Horticulture with preference for post graduate qualifications. Research and extension experience in perennial fruit crops, particularly viticulture and publication of relevant papers in approved scientific journals an advantage. DUTIES: Carry out a research programme in the field of viticulture, particularly into aspects of tablegrape production. Report research results in scientific journals, industry publications and through other appropriate media. Provide, as required, advice to the viticulture industry, arrange and participate in discussion groups and field days and carry out associated duties, as required. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: Three months' long service ■ leave after seven years' continuous service, four weeks' annual leave plus ten Statutory Public Holidays, generous cumulative sick leave entitlements, superannuation benefits And other general conditions applicable to permanent officers employed under the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1978.
