have a crew change because of an ineligibility ruling. Christ's College will not be contesting the event As usual, the Lion regatta, the largest on the Reach this season, has attracted interest throughout the South Island with crews entered from Nelson, Wairau, Blenheim, Kawatiri (West Coast), Oamaru, Timaru and Akaroa. Last week-end’s Otago championships at Lake Ruataniwha were blown out and crews are now in a vital tuning period with the New Zealand championships at Lake Karapiro only a month away.
