Stowaways' permits extended
PA'’' U- ; Wellington Two stowaways who came to New Zealand last June aboard the Ngahere have had their permits extended to the end of February. The director of the Labour Department’s Immigration Division, Mr Don Bond, has said that in spite of continuing and exhaustive efforts in Tanzania and Kenya the two were still not identified. It was hoped the matter would be decided by the end of February, he said. The pair were being looked after by a church group in Auckland and were working to help make ends meet, Mr Bond said.
