Double for Archon
A fleet of 49 yachts contested the fourth race in the Dorlon twilight series on Lyttelton Harbour on Wednesday. Archon (A. and W. Archer), a Davidson 40 design yacht with Gavin Cooke at the helm, took the double in the keeler division, winning line and handicap honours from Rock-A-Bye (S. Rose and N. Cross), which finished second in both line and handicap, 13min back.
Southern Fun (McMillan Group), with lan Franklin at the helm, was third, a further eight minutes away. In the trailer yacht division, lan Rowlands skipped the Elder design 680 yacht, Slick Willie, to line honours, and Kubla Khant (M. Bayley) with Grethe Halvorsen at the helm, was first on handicap. Results:—
