N.I. wool cheaper

PA Wellington Prices for many types of wool fell further at the combined Auckland, Wanganui and Wellington wool sale yesterday. However, the market indictor, at 459 c a kilogram clean and 341 c greasy, matched that at the Invercargill sale on Wednesday. The official report showed higher prices for best-style fleece and B/C--style 37 micron fleece but lower prices for B/C and C-style 35 miron fleece.

Prices for second shear B-style wool were firm, but best lengths of poorer styles fell as much as 2.5 per cent. Bulky skirtings fetched less and prices for second-shear oddments were down 2.5 per cent on the last sale. First lambs’
