Minister leaves row behind
PA Auckland The Minister of Defence, Mr O’Flynn, arrived in Auckland yesterday for a few days holiday, saying that he was happy with the situation he had left in Wellington and the support he had received from colleagues. He said the break had been planned for some time and he had stayed an extra day in Wellington to answer questions on the defence-leaks issue. He would not comment further on aspects of the defence row, which flared in Wellington this week when Mr O’Flynn released a 12-page press statement alleging disloyalty among military staff.
