Chairman ill
The chairman of Southland Frozen Meat, Ltd, Mr John Macdonald of Te Anau, has had a stroke, but company officials say his illness is unlikely to force changes to the board of directors. Next week’s board meeting has been cancelled because of Mr Macdonald’s illness, the chief executive of SFM, Mr Terry Cooke, said. However, Mr Macdonald is “making a good recovery. There is no suggestion that this could mean any changes to the board.”,
