The World War II Spitfire fighter, which was mounted on a plinth outside the Brevet Club, near Christchurch Airport, for about 20 years, has now been almost completely renovated at the Royal New Zealand Air Force base at Woodbourne. The fighter was given to the Air Force last year to be restored for display at the R.N.Z.A.F. Museum at Wigram. The aircraft will be displayed at the Woodbourne air show on February 16 and 17, and then be taken to Wigram.
