Clearing the air
NZPA-AFP Edinburgh The Scotland Rugby Union coach, Mr Derrick Grant, is to have a “clear the air” meeting with the New Zealand referee, Mr Bob Francis, about the laws before Saturday’s Five Nations championship match against Wales in Cardiff. Mr Grant is concerned at the number of penalties that Bob Fordham, another Australasian official, awarded during the England-Wales international on January 18. The Scottish coach hopes that by discussing Mr Francis’ interpretation of certain rules, there will be fewer infringements continuity.
