Death for Sikhs
Three of nine Sikhs who hijacked an Air-India flight to Lahore in July, 1984, have been sentenced
to death by a court. Two others were sentenced to life imprisonment. Four were acquitted. Five other Sikhs, who hijacked a plane on September 21, 1981, were also sentenced to life imprisonment by the same court. India had accused Pakistan of complicity in the two hijackings. — Lahore, Pakistan.
