Canterbury Belle will be Riccarton drawcard
Canterbury Belle will be the big attraction when she reappears on her home track at Riccarton for the first day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s summer meeting on Saturday.
She is one of 12 entrants for the $22,500 South Island Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes. Another is In the Glen, Canterbury Belle’s conqueror in the Timaru Cup last month and, at her most recent start, a gallant fourth in the Jarden Mile at Trentham.
