United to fly to N.Z. next month

PA Auckland United Airlines will begin flights to New Zealand on February 13. A spokesman for the company said in Auckland that the first flight was to have arrived on Thursday. The delay was the result of a dispute over landing rights in Japan. The Japanese Government had now agreed that a transition from Pan American Airways to United could take place on February 11. The last Pan Am flight will leave Auckland on February 12. The president of United, Mr Jim Hartigan, is expected in New Zealand within a fomight of the takeover.
