Obituary Mr S.G. Dinniss

PA Wellington Selwyn George Dinniss, one of New Zealand’s first public relations consultants, died recently. He was 74.

Mr Dinniss began his long Journalistic career at the “Taranaki Herald” as a reporter and worked on

several newspapers. In 1950 he came to

Wellington as chief subeditor at the “Dominion,” and later became deputy editor.

He left newspapers in 1957 to start his own public relations firm, S. G. Dinniss Associates.
