Grey Way dead
fdhg
Mr South was not available for comment last evening but Mrs South said that Grey Way, which spent his retirement on the family farm, near Orari, had -not been in the best of health for some time.
“He got a bit staggery at times and last year we had the vet check him over and he eventually
made a good recovery,” she said last evening. “Although his complaint was not diagnosed as cancer the vet warned us that it was not uncommon for a grey horse to suffer from the disease.” “When his health deteriorated again recently and It was obvious that he was distressed we decided to take the vet’s advice and have him put down to save him any further suffering,” she said.
