Croquet open to Hogan

Joseph Hogan, of Hawke’s Bay, won the New Zealand open singles championship at the national croquet championships held in association with N.Z.I. Finance, which finished at the United green yesterday.

Final results from the championships were: . Open championship: J. Hogan (Hawke’s Bay); runner-up, R. V. Jackson (Auckland). Heenan Plate: R. Murfitt (Christchurch); runner-up. Dr G. J. Robertson (Wellington).

N.Z. women’s championship: Mrs M. Hadwin (Hamilton); runner-up, Mrs S. Wiggins (Christchurch).

N.Z. men’s championship: R. V. Jackson (Auckland); runner-up, G. Beale (Christchurch).

N.Z. doubles championship: J. Hogan (Hawke’s Bay) and R. V. Jackson (Auckland); runners-up, P. Skinley (Wellington) and Mrs M. Hadwin (Hamilton). N.Z. championship levels singles: S.
