Greek inflation
Inflation in Greece in 1986 will total 16 per cent compared with 25 per cent in 1985, the Greek Economy Minister, Mr Costas Simitis, said. The reduction would be achieved through the Government’s stabilisation programme including a small increase in labour costs, agricultural prices and imported goods. Pay and J pensions would rise 12 to 13 per cent this year and the increase in unemployment 1 would be moderated, rising from 8.5 per cent of the work-force in 1985 to 9 per cent in 1986. — Athens.
